I am so excited that it's Christmas time. If you read my blog often you should just prepare yourself for tons of holiday news and movies. Today's Watch of the Week might just be the best one I have ever done. I sometimes watch this movie when it's not Christmastime just because it is that good. It was one of the first huge ensemble movies before New Year's Eve or He's Just Not That Into You. This particular film is done completely right, it's Love Actually.
Here are the best things about the film:
The cast. Check out some of these names: Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Kiera Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and more. These cast is seriously beefed up. What's better than Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson in the same film (besides most of the Harry Potter franchise).
The theme: Love Actually, love is all around. If you need warm fuzzies at this time of year, this is the film for you. The multiple story lines are woven together extremely well and they end up crossing paths. The writing is brilliant and British which makes it even better.
The humor: It's a Christmas movie packed with hilarity. All things funny from awkwardness to adult jokes said by kids, and language barriers.
The overall Christmasy feeling it gives you: If you don't believe me, watch it for yourself!
