RIP Roger Ebert

It saddens me to write this post today. Roger Ebert, a legendary film critic, lost his battle with cancer today. Not only did his family lose a great man today but the world lost one of its most beloved critics of all time.

Ebert was a critic from 1967 until 2013, that's an amazing career in entertainment. As a blogger who aspires to write a post every day and meet as many celebrities as I can, I have to say that I have looked up to Ebert. Ebert's reviews have shaped what America and the rest of the world thinks about films. He has been one of the people determining the success of movies for decades. He even won a Pulitzer Prize for his work. But above all, the greatest thing about Ebert was the fact that he was so humble. He thought of himself as a fan of movies and nothing more. He wasn't pompous or inflated and he did his work for the love of film. That's what I have been striving to achieve here at Jentertainment: a blog that shows the love of film and all entertainment. And I will continue to do so, always thinking about Ebert and the other greats that have touched entertainment on their life journeys.
