Top Ten Movies to Watch With Your Siblings

Sorry for all the only children out there, but most of us coexist in our family with other people who were brought up by the same parents. Siblings are wonderful people who fill our hearts with such a great emotions. Sometimes we don't always get along, but at the end of the day, what would you do without them? Most of us would do anything for one of our siblings, including taking a bullet. Bonds between brothers and sisters run deep and they create a space in our hearts that cannot be filled by any other kind of relationship. I have three siblings of my own and I would be completely and utterly lost without them. Most of us, not all, but most also like to hang out with our siblings. My sisters and I especially love to watch movies together. We watch old movies over and over and go to theater and see them together as well.

Today's list are my top ten movies to watch with your siblings. Most of mine are good sister movies, but some of them you could watch with brothers too!

1. Step Brothers
2. The Parent Trap
3. It Takes Two
4. Ramona and Beezus
5. Practical Magic
6. A League of Their Own
7. The Hangover
8. Yours, Mine & Ours
9. Matilda
10. Raising Helen

Step Brothers and The Hangover are both movies that you can watch with pretty much anyone, with the exception of anyone below the age of at least 16. However, there is an entirely different comical element that is added to both of these movies when watching them with your brothers and sisters. I have never laughed as hard as the first time I saw Step Brothers. What a well crafted work of art first of all, but secondly a great look at childhood through the lives of adults. My sister and I are technically step sisters, even though have never once thought of each other that way. We laugh so incredibly hard watching this movie with these two grown odd looking men acting and gallivanting around like they are nine year olds. It will truly bring you back to your younger days.

Ramona and Beezus, Raising Helen and Yours Mine & Ours are all great films involving sister relationships. Ramona & Beezus is so incredibly cute and the best part is Selena Gomez. She is adorable in this film and really shines in the small part that she plays. Best of all Josh Duhamel also acts in this film, so you and your sister can salivate over him a little bit. Raising Helen is one of those movies like My Sister's Keeper. It is almost painfully sad but it is well worth watching. Kate Hudson stars in this film but it is the cast of kids that really create the raw emotions. If you have ever gone through losing anyone with your siblings you will value watching this film together.

The Parent Trap and It Takes Two have similar premises, even though the girls in It Takes Two are not officially sisters until Roger and Diane get married, but that's okay. It's all the same because the tricks that both of these pairs play in the film are awesome to watch with your sisters. The Parent Trap is one of my favorite films of all time, and I love to watch Lindsay Lohan at a time when she really had herself together. Both of these are also really quotable so you and your sibs can always remember watching them together and can throw the quotes into your everyday lives.

Who doesn't love Matilda? What's great about this movie is that you can watch it and feel great about your own family. The Wormwood's are so dysfunctional and the movie has such a fun twist on it with The Trunchbull and the chokie!

Lastly, we have A League of Their Own and Practical Magic. Both are classics in my opinion. If you are looking for a somewhat dark and weird film, Practical Magic is the way to go. Plus it features Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman before they were both seen as Hollywood's household names. It's great to watch with sisters because that is really the backbone of the film. The same with A League of Their Own. Although the movie isn't centered around their relationship, the two sisters Kit and Dottie are both two of the central characters who are involved deep in the storyline. This one will make you want to hug your younger sister.

That's it for today. Make sure to stop in tomorrow because I am writing about the top ten movies to watch when you are heartbroken.
