Airing tonight on NBC at 8pm is Betty White's Second Annual 90th Birthday Special. All I have to say to this is: really? I love Betty White just as much as the next person. She is witty, talented and has certainly been around for a long time in a community where people tend to fade out. But do we really need to celebrate her birthday again with another special? I realize that I may be sounding harsh. I love Betty and I think that it's definitely a huge deal that is not only still with us at the age of 91, but she is also doing amazing things which include having her own television series (Off Their Rockers) and starring in another one (Hot in Cleveland). However, do we all need to gather and have a silly name for her birthday party? Maybe we do, maybe I am in the wrong. Or maybe most of you out there agree with me. Betty White shouldn't be entitled to having a birthday party, I'm just saying that I don't think it needs to air on national television.
If you are interested in tuning in tonight you will get to see Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Clinton, Clake Shelton, Bill Crosby along with her costars from Hot in Cleveland and more famous people! I guess all I can say is that I hope she is still around next year so we can host another weird special in her honor.
