A Very Different Carrie

Don't want this post to confuse anyone since yesterday's post also featured a Carrie. I am talking about the movie Carrie. MGM has embarked on the project to remake the 1976 film.

The original Carrie was played by Sissy Spacek.  The new Carrie will be played by a girl who is literally skyrocketing in her career right now. She is the "it girl," and if you were reading Jentertainment, it was predicted right here. That's right, I am talking about Chloe Moretz. I knew this girl was going to get job offers and scripts galore as soon as I saw Hugo. That is exactly what is happening. She is appearing in a lot of television shows, including 30 Rock and has three upcoming movies just for the year 2012 alone. Now she has been offered this huge role in what should be an epic remake if it is done correctly.

I am so excited for Moretz and I know this is only the beginning of her long and gracious career. She apparently won out the role over Dakota Fanning, which if you have followed her young career, that is a pretty big deal. Chloe seems to be young and adorable and I know that she will take this role with all the seriousness that it deserves. Shooting of the film will begin later on this year.
