Why Sophie's Choice?
Other than the fact that it is one of the most referenced films of all time, I really think this movie deserves the number one spot on my list. Like I said the other day, if everyone made a list it would be different, but still featuring similar films. Sophie's Choice is a culmination of so many ideas, rich history, fabulous acting, and the expression of the human psyche. I saw this movie as a high school senior and was literally blown away, and at a loss for words. If you have yet to see the film, get it in your netflix queue today. Bring a box of tissues and be ready to be amazed by Kevin Kline, Peter MacNicol and and Meryl Streep in what some people say has been the biggest role of her lifetime thus far.
