Kristen Stewart and Her Twilight Posse Win Everything at The Razzies

The Razzies are an annual award show that gives out awards for the worst, instead of the best. It's not an odd concept, but it is odd to sometimes see who gets the awards. This year Breaking Dawn Part II literally won (for the worst) in almost every category it was nominated in. Now, I get annoyed with Kristen Stewart just as much as the next person (see this blog or my tweets for evidence) but I truly felt like this film was pretty good. The franchise has done nothing but get better over time and the final installment was something that I actually found enjoyable. Yes, KStew is downright awkward in every social situation she is involved in and RPatz and Taylor Lautner are not much better, but I feel sorry for them in this situation.

For instance, Breaking Dawn Part II won for Worst Picture but it was up against Battleship, A Thousand Words, That's My Boy and Ooogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure. Now, let's get real: we all know the Oogieloves was the worst film. Not even a small child would enjoy that movie. Looking at another category Kristen Stewart beat out herself winning for Worst Performance by an Actress in Snow White and the Huntsman. I don't know about you, but I am starting to see a pattern here. Yet again, another award is for Worst Ensemble and Breaking Dawn was chosen again.

Looking at this data two things seem apparent:
1. Whoever is behind tallying the votes and the actually casting of the votes over at the Razzies has a huge distate for Twilight
2. Kristen Stewart is not being judged fairly

Believe me, I cannot stand Kristen Stewart, but she was more than halfway decent in Breaking Dawn Part II. She is growing as an actress; her personality may not be changing and she may not be making better life decisions or learning more facial expressions, but the first point still stands strong. I am not saying that The Razzies should do a recount because quite honestly it is an award show that makes fun of all other award shows. I am not even saying that Kristen shouldn't have "won" all that she did. All I am saying is that for the first time, I honestly feel bad for KStew. Trust me, I didn't even think that I had it in me. However, at this point, I think she deserves a break. A chance to start over, hopefully leaving Robert Pattinson and definitely Twlight out of it. I recently read that her and Jennifer Lawrence are friends, and if JLaw likes her, maybe my feelings toward her can turn from downright animosity to not so cold. Maybe I am being crazy, but that's my rant for the day.
