Movies to See

Every couple of months I like to bring you all a list of movies that you should be looking out for. Some of them have huge buzz around them and others are those films that fly underneath the radar. Regardless of their stature when they are hitting the silver screen, you won't want to miss any of these gems. Many of them could be the talk involved in award nods very soon!

Hitchcock
This film stars Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren. Two huge names in the business. I mean seriously what is cooler than a movie that stars Hannibal Lector and the Queen? Well obviously from the title of this film you know that it is about Alfred Hitchcock. It surrounds the time frame when he decided to make Psycho. The film also includes two superstars Scarlett Johanson and Jessica Biel.

Save the Date
This indie looking film looks like a seriously good chick flick classic in the making. When I was watching the preview I was reminded of two movies: 1. Mean Girls because this movie stars Lizzy Caplan (Janice) and 2. The Five Year Engagement because of the storyline. I can guarantee that you don't want to miss this one.

Guilt Trip
This looks like another classic Seth Rogen movie. Watching the promotional material you can't help but crack up the whole time. This story falls Seth's character as he takes his crazy, lonely, overprotective mom on a road trip with him. Did I mention that Barbara Streisand plays his mom?!

The Impossible
Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts take their beautiful fictional family on vacation. Their vacation goes completely wrong when the family is split up during a huge natural catastrophe. The trailer will move you to tears, so when you go see the film bring a lot of tissues.

Quartet
The best reason to go see this is because Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon star in this film together. Just in case you forgot...that's Dumbledore and McGonagall. Other than that, another huge thing that is going for it is that it is directed by Dustin Hoffman. Pretty much this film that centers around a retirement home filled with opera singers and ruined marriages looks like an A+.
