In honor of the recent debates and upcoming Presidential election, I decided to give you my take on the best election themed movies. I know most of you have probably had your fill of the debates, I know I have definitely had my fill of facebook statuses; but either way, it's good to watch a movie.
1. The Manchurian Candidate
Great movie, kind of a dark thriller. Both the original and the remake are fantastic.
2. Air Force One
Can you say Harrison Ford as President?
3. Welcome to Mooseport
Ray Romano, Gene Hackman and Christine Baranski in the same film= amazingness
4. The Adjustment Bureau
Matt Damon is hot, he runs for office, the government is after him, he isn't sure why. It's epic.
5. Napoleon Dynamite
Vote for Pedro
6. Swing Vote
Adorable story about a girl, her father and the political system in America.
7. The American President
Michael Douglas and Annette Bening in the old days as the First Man and First Lady!
8. Election
Reese Witherspoon shines in one of her first roles as a student who gets involved in a lot of trouble with an election and a teacher.
9. Man of the Year
Robin Williams plays a comedian (funny how that works out) who runs for President and wins because of a glitch of a machine.
10. Dave
Kevin Kline takes the President's place when he goes into a coma.
