The other night I had the absolute privilege of going to a very special pre-screening. I saw Grace Unplugged a film made by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions starring James Denton, AJ Michalka (from Disney's Aly & AJ), Kevin Pollak, Michael Welch and Shawnee Smith.
Honestly, this film was great! It is a christian film, based on a father daughter relationship that is truly amazing to watch. Grace, the daughter of a famous one hit wonder rocker now turned into a music minister, is struggling with the demands of her dad. They play in the band at church with each other and her father has too high of demands, pressure and stakes on his daughter and her future.
Grace runs away to Hollywood and meets up with her father's agent who now works for the biggest music company. She takes on new opportunities and challenges without the protection of her parents and explores her faith along the way.
I don't want to share anything else because I really think it is a film worth seeing. The movie hits theaters on October 4. Message me on Twitter or comment below if you would like to have more specific information about going to opening screenings and group showings. It's a great movie for all ages, but especially for teenage girls or anyone who has fallen out of a relationship with someone and has had to put it back together again.
