After a three year battle, Pierce Brosnan's daughter, Charlotte, died of ovarian cancer. It's so sad to lose someone in your family, but I cannot imagine losing a child. Pierce's statement that was released said that she was surrounded by her husband and two children. May she rest in peace.

Many stars themselves including Sheryl Crow, Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Sharon Osbourne, Cynthia Nixon, Kathy Bates, Tom Green, Robert De Niro, Melissa Etheridge, Mr. T, Rod Stewart, Olivia Newton John, Giuliana Rancic and more have beaten the battle against cancer in years past. I hope that we are closer to finding a cure for more cancerous types in the near future, not only for the celebrities, but for all of mankind.
