During the time span of the past twenty three years, I have loved and admired a lot of celebrities. Most of them have become great people or continued to be who they were, while some others have fallen by the wayside and disappointed me. Let's look back on the stars that fell short of their adoring fans.
1. Amanda Bynes
I have stayed quiet about Bynes and all of her shenanigans for quite some time now. Some of you are probably wondering why, because if you are a regular reader, you know that I am not shy about sharing my opinion. I haven't talked about Bynes because she is just another letdown. She had The Amanda Show and All That along with Big Fat Liar, but after that she just sat around trying to convince everyone that she was still famous. It's sad that instead of going to pursue her career, or another career, she just decided to turn to drugs and blasting people on twitter because she is ashamed of who she has become.
2. Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen
I seriously loved these two when I was little. I saw every television show that they were on and rented every little insignificant movie that they starred in. The movies were always dumb, and so were some of the shows, but the things that never changed were MK and A. They were solid actresses for such a young age, and they entertained girls across the globe. But look at them now. I understand that I do not understand the high ranks of fashion, but most of the time these two look like they are wearing garbage bags and they are walking around with unclean hair that looks like it needs a good cut and a blow dry. It's a sad world when you know that certain celebrities peak early in life and then become doomed to be second rate citizens who are still hounded by the paparazzi.
3. Aaron Carter (and by extension Nick Carter)
And by extension of that all boy bands of the 90's, but that's getting into an entirely different post. Aaron Carter had it all: the cuteness, the hair, the connections and his voice was actually half decent. But then he slipped under the radar. He disappeared, honestly I cannot tell you the last time that I have seen him anywhere. I thought his career had longevity, but it met it's demise shortly after starting.
4. Chris Brown
Some of you out there are going to argue this one because he still makes loads of money and is still famous. But at one time he had everything going for him, and now he has so many things on his rap sheet that no one (other than the woman who filed for a restraining order against him, Rihanna) wants to go near him with a ten foot pole. It's cool to be a rapper and live the party lifestyle but its not cool to become an idiot and beat women..just saying.
We all realize that Amanda Bynes is definitely the biggest disappointment, obviously with all that is going on now. I hope that she can reach out and seek help and then be a big enough person to take it. I haven't honestly been blogging on her because she is the kind of person who feeds off of attention, even negative attention. I wish her the best, but more than that I wish to stop reading about her every day.
