Sheryl Crow released information this week that she has a benign brain tumor. She apparently was having a lot of trouble remembering facts and trouble with her memory in general. She went to a doctor and in November of 2011 was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It is unknown at this time whether or not the benign tumor will be removed.
Crow also battled breast cancer in 2006. She has two young sons and she creates beautiful music, so we hope to have her around for years to come. Recently at a concert, she forgot some of the words to her song "Soak Up The Sun." She joked at the concert saying that her age, 50, was causing her to forget things. As to why she didn't release the information of the tumor to the public earlier, who can blame her? Celebrities have very little that is private in their very public lives. It is probably hard enough to go through that on a normal day to day basis, but then to face that while facing the news of a tumor has to create some inner turmoil.
