Spotlight on: Leonardo DiCaprio

Oh Leo! There are so many good things to say about this actor, but I will try not to rant on. He is a class act, good-looking, sweet and a damn-fine actor. He has true talent, and he knows it, but not in an obnoxious way. But my favorite thing by far about Leo is how knows how to wait for the right roles. When you look at the films he has done, he has not only made a household name for himself, but his name is all you can think about when talking about the films. The movies itself take on his name, as if he has stamped it on the front of the movie poster. Leo is iconic and without him many of the movies of the past two decades would lack interest and authenticity. Not sure you buy it? Then think of these movies and try to picture them with anyone else but DiCaprio: Titanic, Gangs of New York, The Great Gatsby, Inception, Shutter Island, Revolutionary Road, Catch Me If You Can. I could keep going, but I think I proved my point. In twenty years, Leonardo will have Hollywood even more locked down than he already does.
