Whether you love your job or you can't face another day of the same mundane people and setting, it's hump day. That's right ladies and gentlemen, Wednesday marks the official middle of the week. I wrote this post for any and all people. It's a fun night to put in a movie and kick back with a glass of wine. Check out the list that I have compiled below.
Office Space
"Where's my stapler?" Not only a great quote, but seriously a great movie. If you have seen it, you know what I mean and if you haven't, you are seriously missing out. The classic movie about everything that can go wrong in the workplace.
Up in the Air
Being stuck in the airport for your entire life has to suck. Firing people for your livelihood must only suck more. But hey, it's not your life. And you get to watch George Clooney.
In Good Company
Imagine meeting your girlfriend's father only to find out that you are his boss. Then imagine how the father feels. Then picture Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace and Scarlet Johansson and you have yourself the perfect recipe for a fantastic film.
Monsters Inc.
Disney did it again with this gem. And if you can't get enough of this one, then head to theaters this summer when the sequel hits.
Broadcast News
A classic with Albert Brooks, William Hurt and Holly Hunter. Great film all about the rivalry between people in the workplace.
The Social Network
Striving to build something amazing from the ground up? Watching this movie can help you to feel success. It's honestly not the best movie in my opinion, but it's an experience to watch. Sometimes we all need the experience. Plus, you will learn a bunch of stuff you didn't know about a website you probably spend a third of your time on.
Waiting
If you have ever worked in the restaurant business and hated your life, then this movie is for you. Plus, Ryan Reynolds is a young hottie in this one.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
If you are like me, you will laugh until you almost cry or pee. The antics that take place in this workplace are like no other in my opinion.
Big
If life seems hard, and work really sucks then pop this one in your Blu-ray player. Imagine being 13 and being thrown into the workplace and the world of bank accounts, parties, alcohol, and relationships all at once.
Mystic Pizza
This flick shows the good side to working in the restaurant business. On top of that you get to see very young Julia Roberts.
The Devil Wears Prada
Obviously this one makes the list, and if this list was ranked would take the first spot. I don't really care if you all think I talk about this movie too often, because I am pretty sure you can't actually do that. It's a great film with an impeccably picked cast. Go work for the Dragon Lady, Miranda Priestley for a day and then re-evaluate your own job.
Bridget Jones Diary
Fighting with your boss/person you have been sleeping with in front of everyone is the cherry on top of this amazing movie. It's really become a cult-classic and has its own following of people, are you one of them?
The Proposal
You hate your boss. Your boss is an illegal immigrant. You pretend-engage to your boss. You kiss your boss. Your boss leaves you at the altar. You're in love with your boss. You just summed up Ryan Reynold's character in this hilarious and epic movie.
